Anecdotes

1. Aline claims that after Mary Ursula died Edward announced that they were never married, where upon Ella was reputed to have said would any of you bastards like a cigarette.
2. Mrs Wilkinson would have said that it was John that was not properly married and that his son, Fr. Tom, committed suicide when he discovered that he might be illegitimate.
3. Aline also claims that when Betty Tyndall was young she prevailed on her father to buy her a ten which was pitched in the field in front of Castlane. She apparently had a caller one night and as a result produced an illegimate child. Her father then had her womb removed in order to prevent a recurrence.
